A 32-year-old woman was injured after being shot by an unidentified man in Barangay Sto. Niño, Cebu City past 3 a.m. on June 18. According to reports, the woman was sitting on the side of the road in the Tabo sa Banay area when the suspect on a motorcycle approached her.
After getting off the motorcycle, the man approached the victim and shot her three times. Two bullets hit the woman in the face—one above her left eyebrow and one below her left eye.
After the shooting, the man fled on his motorcycle. Police and emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident.
The victim was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are still investigating to identify and arrest the suspect.
