Jordan Heading's return to the PBA was special—new team, new beginning. In his first game for TNT Tropang 5G against Barangay Ginebra, he recorded 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Although they lost by a score of 97-78, Heading was still happy to be back on the court after his injury.
"It feels good to be back. I just want to get that game feel again," said the Fil-Australian guard. He was recently cleared by team doctors after his back injury, so he's rushing to get back on the court to get in game shape before the playoffs.
Not only was Heading's debut ruined, but TNT's six-game winning streak was also ruined. They fell to 6-4 standings, tied with Converge, and their twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals was fading.
But despite the loss, Heading is still positive. "We just need to get back to practice and work on our moves," he said. He said there's still time before the playoffs start, so TNT still has a chance to find the right rhythm.
Their next match is on June 13 against Magnolia Hotshots, a crucial game for the playoff rankings. Heading believes that with proper training, the confidence and chemistry of Tropang Giga will return.
