The burglary of a house in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City was captured on CCTV at around 3 a.m. on May 14, 2025. According to police, the 28-year-old suspect entered through the exhaust fan hole. Since the back of the house was empty, he was able to climb in easily.
A laptop, two tablets, and a watch worth approximately P100,000 were stolen. The owner discovered this the next morning after noticing a hole in their exhaust fan and several items missing.
With the help of CCTV and an informant, the suspect was caught in a police follow-up operation. A pen gun with ammunition was recovered from him. Investigation revealed that he had previously been imprisoned for drugs, gambling, and theft.
The suspect admitted to the crime and said he just needed money to feed his family. He allegedly sold the gadgets for P4,000.
The suspect is currently facing charges of robbery, violation of the Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and the Omnibus Election Code.
