The two Chinese nationals were arrested in Barangay Sabang, Baliuag, Bulacan on May 7, after they were caught installing spy equipment, according to a report by the PNP-CIDG.
The foreigners were identified as "Feng" and "Shi" who were caught in an entrapment operation conducted by the CIDG Bulacan and Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC).
Seized from them were items such as IMEI catcher motherboard, antenna, internet router, metal box battery, and two inverters.
According to the CIDG, the seized devices are capable of interfering, hiding, and using information from cellphones and other communication tools.
The suspects are now detained at the CIDG Bulacan and will be charged with misuse of devices and violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act.
