Gaming industry revenue reached P104 billion in the first quarter of 2025, according to data from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. or PAGCOR. This increased by 27.4% compared to P81.7 billion last year.
For the first time, e-games led the way in revenue, with P51.39 billion or 49.36% of the total revenue. This surpassed the revenue of licensed casinos which was P49.28 billion or 47% of the total.
According to PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco, this is proof that people are increasingly choosing digital and on-demand gaming due to easier access to mobile technology.
Tengco also said that although there is a slight decrease in the revenue of brick-and-mortar casinos, it is still important especially in areas focused on tourism such as Entertainment City and Clark.
Casinos operated by PAGCOR earned P3.45 billion, which constitutes 3.31% of the total gaming revenue.
