Two Chinese nationals, alias “Huang” and “Zhao,” were arrested in Bacoor City, Cavite after a gun and hundreds of bullets were found in their vehicle. Authorities said the suspects attempted to escape a checkpoint using a fake improvised license plate number.
At around 2:00 a.m., the pickup truck the suspects were riding in was stopped on Daang Hari. When they began to attempt to flee, police noticed that they were hiding something, so they tried to chase them.
During the pursuit, the suspects fled and almost collided with the police. When they were caught, a gun, ammunition, several rifle scopes, and fake plate numbers were confiscated from their vehicle. They will be charged with violation of Republic Act 10591 and the Omnibus Election Code.
