The family of 4-year-old Malia Kates Yuchen Gayeta Masongsong is deeply saddened after she passed away in a accident at NAIA on May 4, 2025. According to Donna, the child's aunt, Malia's father, Danmark Soriano Masongsong, was still very confused and had difficulty speaking, while also not being able to eat and crying constantly.
“The father is still very confused, unable to talk properly. He also doesn't want to eat. He's still crying,” said Donna. She added that Malia's mother had surgery for internal bleeding in the spleen and continues to be in critical condition. Because of this, they can't yet say that Malia is gone.
Malia is an only child, known to her parents as a cheerful, bubbly, and very sweet child. She also loves to dress up and is a daddy’s girl. Her father, Danmark, works in the Czech Republic as an assembly line operator.
The family waited for the injured relatives to recover and supported Malia's parents. According to Donna, the help provided by New NAIA Infra Corp. President Ramon Ang to their family during their most trying time continues.
Currently, Malia's funeral is being held in their hometown in Lipa, Batangas.
