
The remains of the 28-year-old man and 5-year-old girl who died in the accident at NAIA Terminal 1 have been flown to Bulacan and Batangas this Sunday morning, May 4, 2025.
The remains were prepared at the Veronica Funeral Home in Pasay City before being taken to their respective provinces. The girl was just about to drop off her father at the airport, who was traveling to the Czech Republic for work, when the tragic accident occurred.
OWWA helped in taking care of the child's remains, as both his parents are OFWs. According to the family, the child's mother underwent abdominal surgery and is still recovering along with the mother-in-law who was also among the injured. The family initially declined to speak to the media.
The man has been buried in Hagonoy, Bulacan. Meanwhile, today Monday, May 5, the results of the medical test of the 47-year-old driver of the SUV that was involved in the collision will be released. This includes alcohol and drug test.
The driver is now in the custody of the NAIA Police and may face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in 2 counts of homicide, multiple injuries, and damage to property. He will be subjected to inquest at the Pasay Prosecutor's Office.
