The unexpected incident happened while Carletta Andrews was eating at a restaurant in Virginia, USA. She was with her husband at Patron Mexican Restaurant and Cantina when something suddenly fell on her head while she was drinking a margarita.
According to Carletta, “It felt like something hit me on the forehead, and then suddenly I saw the snake in my drink.” She was shocked when she saw the baby snake moving and twisting the straw of her wine.
The restaurant crew tried to remove the snake with a stick but it was not immediately removed. A customer dared to take the goblet outside to throw the snake away.
After the incident, the restaurant offered to move them to a different table, but Carletta declined. She said she just wanted to leave because she was so scared and shocked.
The restaurant owner explained that the snake may have come from the air-con vent. It was also learned that the restaurant had previous health violations such as mold, a broken ceiling, and leaks. Although these have been fixed, some customers are still concerned.
