Chevrolet Philippines, under HARIPhil Asia Resources, has officially launched the latest 2026 Captiva EV and Captiva PHEV—two electrified models that immediately demonstrate the brand's serious move into electric mobility. This is not the previous 7-seater MPV; instead, it is a five-seat compact SUV with a more modern design and dimensions of 4,745 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height. With an aggressive price starting at P 1,821,000, it is clearly targeting the growing EV market in the country.
Under the hood, the Captiva PHEV has a 1.5-liter engine partnered with an electric motor for a combined 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. It has a 20.5-kWh LFP battery that can achieve approximately 90 kilometers of pure electric range and up to 1,000 kilometers of combined range with gasoline. Meanwhile, the Captiva EV is a pure electric with the same 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, but has a larger 60-kWh LFP battery that provides up to 415 kilometers of range on a full charge. Both are compatible with AC and DC fast charging, with the EV variant able to accept up to 120 kW DC fast charging.
The new Captiva is designed for space and stability, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, independent suspension, and 18-inch wheels. On the outside, the automatic LED headlights with intelligent high-beam, rain-sensing wipers, panoramic sunroof, and power tailgate stand out. On the inside, the black soft-touch materials with copper accents, PVC leather seats, and 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat feature. The centerpiece of the cabin is a 15.6-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8.8-inch driver display, automatic climate control, and a smart key system with walk-away auto lock—a clear testament to the premium experience being targeted.
When it comes to safety, the Captiva is no slouch either. 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera come standard. It also has a complete Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) such as Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Jam Assist. The Captiva Premier PHEV has an introductory price of P 1,821,000 (SRP: P 1,899,000), while the Captiva Premier EV has an introductory price of P 1,860,000 (SRP: P 1,938,000). With its price and technology, it is clear that the new Captiva is ready to keep up with the modern era of sustainable driving.
