A 1993 Porsche 968 Turbo S is expected to set new auction records at an upcoming auction, where it could fetch up to $1.2 million USD. It is one of the brand's rarest transaxle models, with only 14 units ever produced. From being an overlooked model, it is now positioned to become one of the most expensive front-engined Porsches ever sold to the public.
This particular chassis has a unique “Paint to Sample” Zermatt Silver color, giving it an even more exclusive feel. The interior is wrapped in black leather and corduroy, showcasing a combination of luxury and retro racing spirit. Its value is further enhanced by its colorful history—it was first ordered by Czech tennis legend and Grand Slam champion Helena Suková, and remained in Monaco until 2014. It has only 18,872 miles on the odometer and has had four owners since its release.

Under the hood, the Turbo S is considered the highest level of engineering of the 968 platform. It is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-four engine with a KKK turbocharger, air-to-air intercooler, and a modified engine management system. As a result, it produces 305 horsepower and 369 ft-lbs of torque, enough to reach 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 175 mph. It also incorporates lightweight components from the Club Sport variant, providing the perfect balance between road car and race machine.
