After two decades, Razer is relaunching its first-ever gaming mouse, the Boomslang. This is no ordinary relaunch – it's limited to 1,337 units worldwide and priced at $1,337 USD each. It's a special edition to commemorate the company's 20th anniversary.
The original Boomslang in 1999 was a return to the unique and high-precision, with a translucent shell that early PC gamers loved. The new version retains the retro-futurist design, but improves the internal hardware to be competitive in today's gaming scene.
The mouse is equipped with a Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2, HyperPolling Wireless support, and Gen-4 Optical Mouse Switches, bringing elite-level performance to a classic shape. It features PU leather button accents, nine-zone Razer Chroma RGB underglow, and includes the Wireless Charging Dock Pro for a complete setup.
Razer has blended nostalgia and modern technology with this mouse, with each unit individually numbered, in homage to classic “leet” gaming culture. The aim is to entice dedicated fans and collectors to chase this special edition.
There will be three preorder windows: February 10, 8AM PT for the Americas, February 11, 8AM SGT for Asia, and February 11, 8AM CET for Europe. Quantities are limited, so for gaming tech enthusiasts, this is a rare and collectible item worth keeping an eye on.
