Accessing government services is now easier with the eGovPH app. According to DICT Undersecretary David Almirol Jr, the app's new features will allow users to avail Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, and Yakap programs, as well as financial and medical support, without having to queue.
In addition, more than a thousand LGUs have already integrated the app for business permit, sanitary permit, and construction permit applications. Almirol clarified that the integration aims to make the process faster and more convenient for the public, using only their smartphones.
The eGovAI feature is also live and free to use, while eGovDocs enables paperless signing of government documents. With the help of the digital national ID with over 90 million users, authentication has been made easier and fake users have been reduced.
Almirol also announced that the feature will soon be launched so that users can access their diplomas, transcripts, and other government certificates and clearances. Currently, the app has 36 million downloads, exceeding the initial target of 30 million by 2028. They aim to reach 40 million downloads this year and 60 million users by 2028.
“If you remember, the queues at government agencies were long. Now, just at home, submitting documents and biometrics is now easy,” Almirol added. He encouraged the public to use the app directly and be alert to fake websites that pretend to be eGovPH.
