The franchise celebrated its 40th anniversary with the announcement of two major projects for Dragon Ball Super. Leading the way is Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, a comprehensive reconstruction of the series set to premiere in 2026, with the aim of elevating the viewer experience with modern production.
This is no simple re-release. The Beerus edition features fully rendered visuals, new animation cuts, and revised scenes for deeper immersion. Also included are new voice recordings and a fresh musical score, which is more faithful to the author's original vision and provides a smoother, more contemporary presentation.
In addition, Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, the long-awaited sequel that will continue the story after the Universe Survival Arc, was also confirmed. This is the first return of the narrative since 2018, opening a new chapter for the franchise and re-energizing Dragon Ball's global fanbase.
