Infinix has officially launched the NOTE Edge, a smartphone with a thin 7.2mm body but with a very powerful 6500mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging. It is also the first Infinix phone to use XOS 16 based on Android 16, with the brand promising 5 years of security updates. In the global market, its price starts at $200 (~Php 12,000), and many are hoping for local availability in the Philippines.
The NOTE Edge is powered by a Dimensity 7100 processor and can be paired with up to 8GB RAM, providing fast and smooth performance for multitasking and gaming. Its design includes a horizontal camera bump and is thicker than other NOTE series models, to accommodate the larger battery. Infinix claims that the battery will retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 2000 charge cycles, or approximately six years of use.
On the front, you'll find a 6.78-inch 120Hz curved AMOLED display with 4500 nits peak brightness and protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. There's also symmetrical ultra-narrow 1.87mm bezels, IP65 rating, and JBL-tuned stereo speakers, providing a premium viewing and audio experience for users.
On the back, there's a 50-megapixel main camera and a customizable button that can activate the Folax AI assistant. Another exciting feature is Live Photo, where you can record 3-second clips with audio, perfect for social media and quick memories.
Currently, the Infinix NOTE Edge starts at Php 12,000, but there is no exact availability date in the Philippines yet. Based on the global announcement, it is expected that the phone could arrive in the country sometime in April or earlier. For those looking for a stylish, powerful, and long-lasting smartphone, the NOTE Edge is a promising option in the mid-range segment.
