MANILA — A 19-year-old man wanted for a case of acts of lasciviousness was arrested after he allegedly molested a then 15-year-old girl twice in different cemeteries in Marikina City.
The suspect was identified as alias Mike, who is among the Top 2 most wanted persons of the Marikina City Police Station. According to the police, the incident stemmed from the victim borrowing cycling shorts from the accused and not returning them. “From there, the man said, go here to the cemetery,” said Police Colonel Jenny Tecson, Officer-In-Charge of the Marikina City Police Station.
The alleged molestation first occurred on May 8, 2024 in Barangay Sta. Elena and was followed on May 17, 2024 at a cemetery in Barangay Tañong. “Our suspect when the incident occurred was 17 years old, he is a minor, and his victim is 15 years old. Both are students and acquaintances,” Tecson added.
The victim immediately reported the incident to her parents and filed a complaint against the suspect. A warrant of arrest was issued on October 2024, and the man was arrested in Barangay Fortune on January 12, 2026. The accused denied the charges and said that he and the victim were in a relationship at the time.
The accused is now detained at the Marikina Police Custodial Facility and is facing a case of Acts of Lasciviousness with a recommended bail of P400,000. The police investigation is ongoing while the case is pending trial.
