
LUCENA CITY — A 39-year-old woman selling tuyo was stabbed at the Dalahican Fish Port Complex in Barangay Dalahican, Lucena City on Sunday. According to reports, the incident stemmed from a land dispute in their area.
Based on the report of the Lucena City Police, the victim sustained multiple stab wounds on the shoulder, arm, neck, face, head, and right side of the abdomen. The suspect is the victim's neighbor.
CCTV footage shows the suspect approaching the woman and stabbing her before suddenly attacking her with a knife. Men in the area tried to stop the suspect, but he continued stabbing her until she fell to the floor with her back.
Investigation revealed that the motive for the crime was related to the right of way in Purok Bangkusay 2, Barangay Dalahican. The victim was immediately taken to a hospital in Lucena City and is currently in stable condition while receiving treatment.
The police are still searching for the suspect who fled, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing to prevent similar incidents in the future.
