Audio-Technica has introduced the AT-LP7X, a fully manual belt-drive turntable designed for vinyl enthusiasts who value precision engineering and minimalist aesthetics. A modern update to the previous model, it features a sleek matte black finish and solid construction that helps deliver clearer, more balanced playback, while reducing unwanted mechanical noise.
The 40mm MDF plinth and 20mm anti-resonance acrylic platter stand out, which together provide stable and consistent record rotation. Also at the heart of the design is the J-shaped aluminum tonearm with dual-axis gimbal and precision ball bearings for more accurate tracking. It includes the AT-VM95E BK cartridge with elliptical stylus, known for clear tonal clarity and excellent channel separation, and is compatible with the entire VM95 series for easy upgrades.
Additionally, vibration-isolating feet and external power supply help reduce resonance and electronic interference. With the cartridge pre-mounted, it's ready to go right out of the box but with a clear path for future improvements. Priced at $999 USD, the AT-LP7X offers a premium and flexible platform for high-fidelity vinyl listening—an elegant choice for serious audiophiles.
