NVIDIA aims to power Level 4 robotaxi fleets worldwide by 2027 using AI chips and Drive AV software. At CES 2026, CEO Jensen Huang outlined the company's ambitions for autonomous mobility as the next big growth driver, following general artificial intelligence.
Huang showed a broad vision: “Let’s imagine that in the future, one billion cars on the road will be autonomous. It could be a robotaxi that you rent, or a car that you own.”
NVIDIA targets both commercial operators and consumer manufacturers. This includes a partnership with Uber in October 2025 to expand its Level 4-ready mobility network, and with Mercedes-Benz to launch models in late 2026 that will use their technology for autonomous navigation in complex urban environments.
Currently, automotive sales account for only a small portion of the company's total revenue, but self-driving technology and robotics are expected to be a large part of their future growth.
