The two security guards were killed after allegedly being shot by their fellow guards inside a car dealership on Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City, this Wednesday afternoon, according to a report by ABS-CBN News.
Based on the initial investigation by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), the victims were reportedly sleeping while on duty when the shooting occurred. Before the incident, the suspect allegedly told a sales agent that he had someone to kill, according to PMaj. Jennifer Gannaban, QCPD spokesperson.
When police arrived at the scene, the two victims were dead. The incident was reported at around 2 p.m., but it turns out the shooting occurred about an hour before it was reported. It was also found that there was the smell of alcohol in the area, so authorities are looking into the possibility of drinking or gathering before the crime.
At this time, there is no clear motive for the shooting. The QCPD is continuing its thorough investigation, including obtaining CCTV footage, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses, while a hot pursuit operation has been launched against the suspect. No other people were involved in the incident.
