Barangay Ginebra recovered from a first-half deficit and withstood a late Titan Ultra attack to win 108-105 at the Araneta Coliseum, Sunday night.
Stephen Holt led Ginebra with 27 points, while RJ Abarrientos added 24 points, 15 of which came in the final quarter, to ensure the Gin Kings' comeback.
But in the third quarter, Ginebra gradually recovered and took the lead in the final quarter. There was a tense finish as Abueva made close points, but Ginebra maintained the lead with clutch free throws by Holt and Abarrientos.
Titan Ultra finished with a 4-7 record, ninth in the standings, while Ginebra, at 7-4, is preparing for the quarterfinals against Converge FiberXers, which has a twice-to-beat advantage.
