Ang pamilya ni Maria Catalina “Cathy” Cabral, dating undersecretary ng DPWH, ay tumanggi sa autopsy, ayon kay Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong noong Disyembre 19.
Magalong also confirmed that Cabral's driver, Cardo Hernandez, who first reported her missing, is in the custody of authorities.
Cabral was found unconscious on the night of December 18 after allegedly falling off a cliff on Kennon Road, Tuba, Benguet. He was pronounced dead after midnight.
According to the initial police report, Cabral was allegedly left by his driver on the side of the road and returned one to two hours later. When he was no longer there, he was reported missing.
The Office of the Ombudsman ordered the safeguard and seize Cabral's cellphone and gadgets for investigation. There is no confirmation yet whether they have been recovered.
