Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Season 2 is officially set to premiere on January 11, 2026, three years after the first season. It will once again be produced by MAPPA and will cover the heavier parts of the story, including the “Lord Tensen” and “Hōrai” arcs.
Based on the manga by Yuji Kaku, the series follows Gabimaru and Sagiri as they brave the dangers of a mysterious island in search of the Elixir of Life. Season 1 was praised for its intense action and deep themes, and Season 2 is expected to further explore the island's secrets and the characters' moral struggles.
A new key visual has also been released, featuring Gabimaru and other key characters. It shows the more serious tone of the upcoming clash against Tensen and its leader Rien, which will be the focus of the major battles in Season 2.
The new season will pick up the most important parts of the manga, especially the long-awaited battle of man vs. Tensen. It will also introduce four new Yamada Asaemon — Shugen, Jikka, Kiyomaru, and Isuzu — along with new voice actors and character visuals.
It has also been confirmed that Crunchyroll will remain the primary platform for global simulcast, except in Asia. As we enter Winter 2026, the anime season is expected to be crowded with the return of big titles such as Hell’s Paradise.
