KYMCO has unveiled the new People R 125 Hybrid, a scooter with Tri-Power Technology to help with more fuel-efficient consumption. This is especially good now that fuel prices continue to rise and many riders are looking for a more fuel-efficient motorcycle.
Tri-Power Technology operates using the Intelligent Control System and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). When the system detects that the motor is stalling, TPT Boost automatically activates to provide electric assist to the engine. Because of this, the acceleration is faster, the power is smoother, and the running is more economical.
With a combined power of 12.7 PS, there is 13.6% more power and 5% faster from 0–100 meters in 8.28 seconds. The engine is also 2.2% cooler and there is 13.2% less fuel consumption.
It also includes Keihin 6th-gen injection, patented water-cooling, new CVT system, Keyless system, USB-A and USB-C ports, full LED lights, LCD panel, large 205mm flat floor, and spacious under-seat storage.
KYMCO does not yet have a price for this model, but it is expected to be released in the PH market in the coming months. (When the official SRP is released, I will immediately convert it to PHP.)
