The return of the Ram TRX has been confirmed. According to the CEO of Stellantis, it will be a major contributor to the company's sales and profits. Although there is no specific production date, sources expect production of the new TRX to begin by January 2026.
Originally, the TRX had a 6.2L Hellcat V-8 that produced 702 hp. With its return, it is expected to increase horsepower even further to make it an even more off-road beast. Under the leadership of Ram's new CEO who now also heads the SRT performance division, its performance level is expected to rise even further.
No specific details about the design and engine are yet available, but it is likely to stick to the formula of supercharged V-8 power, rugged looks, and extreme off-road capability. Additionally, Ram has indicated that the HEMI V-8 will also return to its 1500 lineup in 2026 and plans to release 25 new products within 18 months.
With the current U.S. administration's more relaxed fuel economy standards, Ram is now beefing up its V-8 performance lineup — and the return of the TRX is just the beginning.
