The Comelec has reminded that barangay certificates and company IDs will not be accepted for voter registration for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
Community tax certificate (cedula) and clearance from the Philippine National Police will also not be accepted. The Comelec is strict in enforcing proper identification requirements for those registering.
Accepted IDs are national ID, postal ID, student ID or library card, PWD ID and senior citizen ID. You may also present a driver’s license or student permit, NBI clearance, Philippine passport, SSS/GSIS UMID card, and licenses from the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and Professional Regulation Commission.
For members of indigenous people's groups, confirmation from the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples is required.
Nationwide voter registration will be held from August 1 to 10. Make sure to bring the correct ID to register without any problems.
