Many Filipinos reacted and wondered if the cases were real. One netizen said, "The cellphone isn't even there, it already has a case? Wow, advance!" On Reddit and Threads, many also commented that these might be from China because they are the ones making the prototypes.
According to other users, case manufacturers in China were the first to get a sample design so they could immediately start mass production. So it's possible that the iPhone 17 design has been known to several companies for a long time.
A tech YouTuber also showed a sample model of the iPhone 17 being used by case makers. Currently, Apple's new model is expected to be released September 2025, with a new camera design that is horizontal and covers the entire back.
Current iPhones are known for their square camera setup, but it looks like the design will be different for the upcoming iPhone 17. With the aforementioned evidence, many netizens were excited and laughed at how early the cases came out.
