Philippine Airlines (PAL) will bring its first Airbus A350-1000 to the country in late 2025. The aircraft is currently under construction in Toulouse, France, and is expected to arrive in the Philippines before the end of the year.
The A350-1000 can travel up to 16,100 kilometers and carry 382 passengers. PAL will use it for its long-haul flights such as trips to America and other distant countries.
According to Atty. Carlos Luis Fernandez, Executive VP and COO of PAL, they chose the A350-1000 because of its ability to adjust to passenger volume and demand. He added that the new aircraft is important for PAL's growth in the region and worldwide.
From 2026 to 2028, PAL is expected to receive eight more A350-1000s, as well as 13 new A321neo for regional flights.
Despite a slight decline in revenue this year, travel demand remains high, according to Captain Stanley K. Ng. PAL believes that business will continue to perform well in the coming months.
