The film "Sunshine" starring Maris Racal will once again participate in an international film festival. It is included in the 2025 Taipei Film Festival, and is expected to touch audiences in Taiwan.
Maris left early for Taiwan this Friday. According to the actress, she is excited about the warm reception for the film. “I am happy that we are once again included in a festival. So far, the film has participated in more than 10 festivals. I have only been to three of them,” she said before flying.
Aside from Taipei, "Sunshine" is also part of the 2025 New York Asian Film Festival. Meanwhile, its official trailer has already garnered over 18 million views on various social media platforms — something that surprised and delighted Maris. “It’s amazing, so many people watched it! I never thought that this many people would be affected by even a one-minute and 20-second trailer,” said Maris.
The actress also shared her preparation. “If in 'Incognito' I was a soldier, here I am a rhythmic gymnast. I really trained for this. The preparation for the role took almost two years.”
"Sunshine" will be available to watch beginning July 23 in all SM Cinemas nationwide. It has received an R-16 rating from the MTRCB.
