A pickup truck lost control and hit a waiting shed in Brgy. Mabini Ilaya, Macalelon, Quezon this Wednesday afternoon. As a result, a 54-year-old vendor died, while four others were injured in the accident.
According to Macalelon police, the deceased vendor was a resident of Brgy. Lawigue, Tayabas City. The injured victims were immediately brought to the Gumaca Hospital for first aid. Even the driver is currently being treated for injuries sustained in his body.
Based on initial investigation, the 50-year-old driver allegedly lost control of the steering wheel while taking a curved section of the road heading to Lucena City.
The vehicle fell into a deep part of the road, causing further injuries to the victims.
Authorities responded immediately to the scene and are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
