A live-in partner was arrested after they stole the motorcycle of a hotel staff in Quezon City on March 27, 2025.
According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and District Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU), the 41-year-old man and 52-year-old woman had just checked in when they took the motorcycle from the hotel.
The victim said he personally saw the two men get on his motorcycle. He knew the suspects because they often went to the hotel.
He tried to chase them but couldn't catch up.
With the help of a police follow-up operation, the couple was traced to their house in Barangay Payatas on March 29 and the motorcycle was recovered.
The police also learned that the two had previously been imprisoned for separate cases such as robbery and illegal drug use.
The male suspect admitted to what they did, saying that they were under pressure so they stolen the motorcycle. He said he planned to use it but not sell it.
The couple will be charged with violating the New Anti-Carnapping Law.
