BANDAI SPIRITS has announced a new model kit named "Ryuo Maru" from the new anime Mashin Souzou Den. This item is expected to be released on March 29, 2025 for 2,090 yen (tax included).
Mashin Souzou Den is a new story that brings elements from Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru. The protagonist of the story, Hoshibe Wataru, is a Grade 4 video creator who dreams of becoming a superstar. One day, he ended up in a strange world called Chubukai, where he became thesavior.
In this sandbox game-like world filled with blocks, Wataru can use them to create various things — including the dragon-souled Ryujin Maru. Along with friends Ken-o Gofurain and popular VTuber Maro, they worked together to defeat the final boss Enjodatsu.
The new model kit"Ryuo Maru" is a power-up form of the Ryujin Maru. Although it bears a resemblance to the Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru in the appearance of the head, its body and weapons are different. The kit uses a shared frame structure that is common to the Mashin Souzou Den series products.
Using new parts, the cool armor designof Ryuo Maru has been recreated. The dragon heads on the shoulders and the blue dragon pattern are made using gold metallic parts. Meanwhile, the sword called "Seiryu Sword" is made using transparent blue parts.
Due to the movable frame structure, it is possible to create various battle poses and special attacks from the anime. You can also replace the head, body, arms, legs, and armor to create your own version of Mashin using parts from other Mashin Souzou Den models.
