The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested one of the suspects involved in the shooting death of two police officers on March 8, 2025 during a buy-bust operation in Bocaue, Bulacan.
According to the PNP, the suspect is a 38-year-old man from Pandi, Bulacan.
The following were recovered from him:
- .38 caliber revolver
- Grenade
- Motorcycle with sidecar
- Money used in the operation
The search for the other suspects is still ongoing. Authorities have also found a motorcycle that they allegedly used to escape from Barangay Bunsuran II.
Police Staff Sergeants Dennis Cudiamat and Gian George Dela Cruz were killed in the incident. Cudiamat died on the spot while Dela Cruz died while receiving treatment at the hospital.
According to the report, the police were conducting a buy-bust operation in Sitio Tugatog, NIA Road, Barangay Tambubong, Bocaue, Bulacan when they were suddenly shot by the suspect.
After the shooting, the suspect took Cudiamat's gun before fleeing towards the town of Pandi.
The PNP commended the courageand dedicationof the two police officers in their service. The PNP also assured the victims' families that they will achieve justice.
The PNP encourages the public to cooperate and provide information that may help in the capture of the remaining suspects.
