As CES 2025 kicks off full of new technologies, Samsung announced Vision AI, the electronics brand's latest AI-powered technology. It aims to transform TVs from passive devices to interactive companions that respond to viewers and their environment.

According to SW Yong, President and Head of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, “Through Samsung Vision AI, we are reimagining what screens can do, combining entertainment, personalization, and lifestyle solutions in one seamless experience to make your life simpler.”

Its key features include Click to Search, which allows viewers to get instant information about the current stream being watched without interrupting the media experience, and Live Translate, which uses real-time AI for subtitle translation. The SmartThings AI ecosystem also provides safety alerts and daily updates about the home, including pets and children, further connecting the smart home ecosystem. To give viewers the best entertainment experience, AI-powered technologies for picture and sound automatically adapt based on environmental factors.

Samsung plans to continue working with technology partners like Microsoft to expand and improve Vision AI's capabilities. Meanwhile, the company will bring Vision AI to a wide lineup of models including the Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, and The Frame series.

Samsung's latest advanced TV to date, the Neo QLED 8K QN990F, leads the label's AI-focussed rollout for 2025. This sleek device is powered by the latest NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor and new features like 8K AI Upscaling Pro, Auto HDR Remastering Pro, Adaptive Sound Pro, and Color Booster Pro. 8K AI Upscaling Pro, Auto HDR Remastering Pro, Adaptive Sound Pro, at Color Booster Pro.
