Earlier this year, Devin Booker showed off a pair of Nike Book 1 PEs in the “Forrest Gump” colorway on the court. Combining basketball and nostalgia, this shoe follows the trend of reviving the classic “Forrest Gump” colorway. When Booker first showed off the shoe, it was uncertain if it would ever be released to the public. Now, it looks like it will have a general release.
The “Forrest Gump” Book 1s faithfully replicate the iconic and original Cortez, featuring an all-white upper and striking red detailing on the Swoosh logos, tongue labels, and back heel tabs. It sits on a solid white rubber sole, with a signature blue stripe on the midsole, reminiscent of the classic Cortez style.
The Nike Book 1 “Forrest Gump” is no longer PE only and is expected to release in January 2025. This release is in line with Nike's plan to reintroduce the OG “Forrest Gump” Cortez in May 2024. Take a closer look at the shoe at images above or below.
