A large increase was recorded in the end of cases in various courts in the country in 2024, according to the spokesperson of the Supreme Court this Wednesday, December 11.

Hanggang Setyembre 30, nakapagtala ang Korte Suprema ng 22% na case disposition rate, na may 4,294 kasong nalutas. Mas mataas ito kumpara sa 21% na disposition rate noong 2023.

Meanwhile, as of November 30, the Court of Appeals recorded a 35% case disposition rate, with 14,699 cases resolved. This is slightly lower compared to its 35.95% disposition rate in 2023.

The Sandiganbayan, on the other hand, disposed of 994 cases with a 44% disposition rate, while the Court of Tax Appeals resolved 648 cases with a 29% disposition rate. Last year, the anti-graft court had a 57% disposition rate, while the appellate tax court had a similar 29% disposition rate.

Of the cases handled by the lower courts, 43% were successfully resolved, with a total number of 508,197 cases.

Last year, the second-level courts, including the Regional Trial Courts and Shari'ah District Courts, had a 42% disposition rate, while the first-level courts had a 61% disposition rate.

According to the Supreme Court, the case disposition rate is obtained by dividing the total number of solved, resolved, and archived cases by the total number of pending and new cases, and then multiplying it by 100.
