NIGO and Nike have officially announced their long-awaited debut partnership, starting with their collaborative Air Force 3 Low silhouette dubbed “Blue Void,” as well as an apparel line.
“Nike has many masterpieces. AF3 is a hidden masterpiece that I really liked before. Through my first collaboration with Nike, I want to show everyone its beauty again,” NIGO said in a statement.
"When I decided to collaborate with Nike, I went to Nike World Headquarters and took inspiration from their archives, laboratory, and the team that works there," he added. “Everything I saw had a great influence on the project. There are many more things to come, so stay tuned for the Nike and NIGO project. This is the beginning of a long and exciting journey.”
The Air Force 3 Low “Blue Void” incorporates references to some of NIGO's favorite movies and television shows in its design. According to a press release, the next releases from the duo will continue to be based on NIGO's broad cultural inspiration. The “Blue Void” has an upper made of a mix of embossed leathers, rubber outsole, midsole foam, and graphic hits on the tongue and heel.
