Wesley Guo, the brother of former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, expressed his intention to surrender, according to their lawyer's statement on Thursday, September 5.

Lawyer David shared this information in an interview with reporters before attending a Senate hearing. David revealed that Wesley contacted him on Wednesday, September 5, the same day his sister Alice was arrested in Indonesia.

When asked about the reasons behind Wesley's decision, David said, “There are times when one loses hope. Wesley sees that his comrades have returned, and as a man, he also goes through a moment of weakness… which is indeed the right move to make.”

David has informed the Philippine authorities of Wesley's intentions.

Senator Raffy Tulfo, who heads the Senate committee on public services, stated that Alice Guo is expected to return to the Philippines after 6 pm on Thursday aboard a chartered flight. He will be accompanied by Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and Philippine National Police chief General Rommel Marbil.

Wesley, along with Alice and their sister Shiela, fled the Philippines on July 18. They had a Senate warrant for their arrest for failing to attend hearings related to the investigation of illegal activities involving to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

Shiela and Katherine Cassandra Ong, who were involved in a raid in Porac, Pampanga involving POGO, were arrested in Indonesia on August 21 and immediately returned to the Philippines the next day.
