The Quezon City Government announced partial and full road closures around the People Power Monument in connection with the “Trillion Peso March III” on February 25. The said activity was organized by Caritas Philippines together with various civil society groups, so a large number of attendees are expected.
According to the local government, among the roads that will be affected are EDSA, Katipunan Avenue, Ortigas Avenue, White Plains Avenue, and Temple Drive. Because of this, heavy traffic flow is expected, especially in the hours leading up to the program and on the day of the gathering itself.
As part of the traffic management plan, a zipper lane scheme will be implemented on White Plains Avenue, from EDSA to Katipunan Avenue, starting at 9:00 p.m. on February 24 to 6:00 a.m. on February 25, 2026. By 6:00 a.m. on the day of the rally, White Plains Avenue will be temporarily closed to allow for security and orderliness of the activity.
Personnel from the Traffic and Transport Management Department, Department of Public Order and Safety, Task Force Disiplina, Quezon City Police District, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will be deployed to manage the situation. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, allow additional travel time, or postpone non-essential trips to avoid inconvenience.
