
Mary Jane Veloso, a former OFW and human trafficking victim, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to those who continue to support her fight for freedom. In an open letter, she emphasized the importance of solidarity and faith as she continues to call for justice.
After more than 14 years of imprisonment abroad, Veloso was returned to the Philippines in late 2024 and is currently at the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong. According to her, this return has given her new hope and courage to continue the fight for her freedom.
The preliminary lineup of artists who will perform has also been released, showcasing the diversity and global appeal of Summer Sonic. From veteran bands to new voices in the industry, the lineup is designed to offer a world-class live music experience for audiences of all generations.
In his letter, he openly expressed his desire to be with his family, especially his parents and children whom he had not hugged for a long time. He mentioned the sacrifices of his parents who traveled many hours to visit him, and his desire to take care of them while he still had the chance.
Despite the challenges, Mary Jane Veloso remains steadfast in her belief that she will achieve justice and freedom. She encouraged the public to continue the humanitarian call, strengthen her voice, and uphold the belief that every Filipino has the right to return home and live freely.
