G-SHOCK has launched the MRG-B2000KT-3A, a limited edition that pays homage to the traditional art of Japanese metalsmithing. As part of the premium MR-G line, the watch features a bezel inspired by a tsuba, or steel sword guard, and is hand-carved by veteran master Kobayashi Masao—a name that represents skill and heritage.
The design stands out with its detailed flying phoenix, a symbol of strength, luck, and longevity. The shishiai-bori technique is used for the bas-relief lines, while the dark blue-green kurogane-iro color is achieved by green DLC coating on hardened titanium. In addition, the four screws on the bezel are set with emeralds, representing wisdom and truth.
In terms of performance, the MRG-B2000KT-3A features a case with a crystallized pattern that resembles the nie on the blade of a Japanese sword. It is equipped with a dark green Dura Soft rubber strap that resists stains and fading—the perfect balance of durability and luxury.
Technology hasn't lagged behind either: there's Tough Solar power, Bluetooth® smartphone linking, and radio-controlled time adjustment for precise timekeeping anywhere. The combination of tradition and innovation gives the watch its true character.
Limited to just 800 pieces worldwide and each with a unique serial number, the watch is priced at $8,000 USD. A collection designed for those seeking prestige, artistry, and unparalleled quality in an exceptional timepiece.
