MANILA — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has stopped its investigation into the absence of vacation of bride-to-be Sherra de Juan, who went missing for almost three weeks in December. According to QCPD spokesperson Maj. Jennifer Gannaban, the case has been temporarily closed but may be reopened if De Juan or her family files a formal complaint.

Although it is still unclear what exactly happened to De Juan or how he ended up in Pangasinan, there has been no formal complaint from his camp. As such, the situation remains private, according to Gannaban's statement.

In a separate message, QCPD Director Col. Randy Glenn Sylvio said they are giving De Juan time to rest and recover. He added that he will be invited to make a statement at the appropriate time. As of this time, it is still unclear whether De Juan left voluntarily or if he was forcibly taken, and this will be addressed in his interview.

De Juan disappeared on December 10, a few days before her scheduled wedding to Mark Arjay Reyes on December 14. According to Reyes, she received a message from De Juan that she was going to the mall to buy shoes for the wedding, but she never returned and even left her cellphone at home while charging.

De Juan was found by a concerned citizen on December 29, walking and seemingly lost in Sison, Pangasinan. He was immediately taken in by the police and reunited with his family. Despite this, the family's priority remains De Juan's recovery, while their wedding is set to go ahead.
