Google has a new update that allows users to change their Gmail address without losing important emails, photos, and messages. Even better, you'll still receive emails from the old address and you can still use it to sign in to Google services.
To change your Gmail address, go to your Google Account on a computer, select Personal info, then click Email. Under Google Account email, select Edit if available, and enter a new email address that isn't already used by another account. Follow the instructions and verify the email via the verification link.
