
The four vehicles collided at Dau, Kilometer 88 of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) past 7 a.m. this Sunday.
According to Robin Ignacio, Assistant Vice President for Traffic Operations of NLEX Corporation, two of the four vehicles were seriously affected. The third vehicle was allegedly speeding, causing the collision to worsen.
In initial investigation, it was revealed that the following vehicles failed to maintain a safe braking distance, while the first vehicle suddenly slowed down for reasons that are yet to be determined. As a result, the third vehicle collided and even went under a pickup truck.
The incident caused more than one kilometer of traffic, which returned to normal around 8:30 a.m.. The parties involved reached an agreement and the case did not reach the PNP.
The driver of the third vehicle suffered only minor injuries, who was immediately taken by ambulance for first aid. No serious injuries or deaths were reported in the incident.
