In the Google Year in Search 2025, people's interests are reflected. Topping the list is Gemini AI, which represents Google's AI tool and the continued increase in the use of AI by Filipinos in everyday tasks and projects.
The 2025 Election came in second, due to the important midterm elections held last summer. Meanwhile, a series of earthquakes late in the year prompted many people to search for news and safety alerts on Google.
Squid Game is in 6th place after its return and final season, demonstrating its continued influence in pop culture. Roblox also remains popular, with Grow a Garden entering the top 3, especially among Filipino youth.
In personalities, Alexandra Eala took the lead as Top Female Personality and 4th in Sports. He is joined by Manny Pacquiao, who returns to the list as 2nd in Sports. Dionela is the Top Male Filipino Personality, and the song “Marilag” even surpassed “Golden” from Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters in Music searches.
