The Palace announced that work will be suspended for government employees on December 29, 2025 and January 2, 2026. This is to give employees time to go home and celebrate New Year with their families.
According to memorandum circular No. 111 signed by Acting Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, employees are allowed to travel to and from their provinces on the said dates.
However, the Palace said that agencies with basic, vital, and health services will remain open and continue operations. It is up to private companies to decide whether they will also follow the work suspension this holiday season.
