
A farmer in Laoang, Northern Samar returned the bag he found containing P60,000, cellphone, passport, and two expensive watches.
Pobleo Narca, 53, from Barangay Olares, was identified as the person who found the bag on the road on Sunday. He immediately brought the bag to the Laoang Municipal Police Station.
The owner, Cristina Sharpe, saw the police post on social media and acknowledged the return of her belongings. She said the bag fell off the top of the vehicle while traveling.
According to PCapt. Nimrod Holares, Laoang police chief, they will give Narca a commendation and small gift as gratitude for his goodness.
The Laoang government will also provide additional recognition and gifts for exemplary loyalty and honest conduct.
