Filipinos in Japan have good news today—they can now remit directly to GCash thanks to its new partnership with Japan's PayForex. With this integration, it's now easier to send money to the GCash accounts of their loved ones in the Philippines without having to go to remittance centers.
With this, Filipinos in Japan can now also cash in using their +81 number, making it more convenient to use GCash in Japan, including at convenience stores. GCash said this is possible because most Filipinos there have Japanese bank accounts linked to PayForex.

For charges, PayForex has an eWallet transfer fee of 450 Yen (approx. Php 180) for amounts up to 10,000 Yen, and 1000 Yen (approx. Php 380) for amounts up to 300,000 Yen.
GCash also recently launched a Virtual US Account where users can now receive USD—perfect for freelancers with US clients. Additionally, GCash's Tap-to-Pay is now available for international transactions.
