A Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) employee in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay was killed by motorcycle-borne gunmen on Friday night, November 7, days after two security guards were killed at the same office.
According to police, Jude Soriano Nario, 47, an Internal Revenue Officer II, died instantly after being shot while arriving at his vehicle with his wife in Purok Malipayon, Barangay Poblacion. The suspects immediately fled after the incident....
The previous incident occurred on Tuesday, November 4, when two guards, Arcadz Dawila Muharal, 41, and Dante Miro Jamie, 52, were shot inside the office. The suspect also lost the office's CCTV storage disk.
Local officials and police in Ipil believe the two incidents are related. Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta of Police Regional Office 9 ordered the local police to coordinate with the BIR and local officials to resolve the case.
