The MMDA is ready for the celebration of Undas 2025 to ensure smooth traffic flow and safe travel for motorists and commuters. According to MMDA Chairman Romando Artes, more than 2,400 field personnel will work until midnight. The “no absent, no day-off” policy will also be implemented for all personnel.
There will be traffic management plans to assist motorists heading to the terminals. Bus drivers will also be subjected to random drug testing to maintain the safety of all travelers.
The MMDA will meet with the management of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) to prevent traffic congestion for those leaving Metro Manila. The goal is to speed up travel, especially for those returning to the provinces.
Meanwhile, the Manila City Government reminded those going to the Manila North Cemetery in Sta. Cruz and Manila South Cemetery in Makati. Manila North Cemetery will be open from October 29 to November 2, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. The same hours will be available at Manila South Cemetery from October 31 to November 2.
Vehicles, cleaning equipment, sound systems, pets, alcohol, sharp objects, gambling, and flammable materials are prohibited inside the cemetery. This year's Undas is a long weekend because October 31 and November 1 are special non-working holidays.
